Defined low-profile geometry
The black narrow rectangular optical frame has a distinctly streamlined silhouette built around shallow lenses and clean horizontal lines. Noir Strata moves away from softer, taller rectangular shapes and uses a noticeably lower lens profile to create a sharper overall appearance.
The upper rim follows a controlled curve across the brow before settling into angular outer corners. Below it, the lower rim remains comparatively straight, reinforcing the narrow rectangular shape. The result is structured without relying on exaggerated edges or decorative details.
Consistent black finish
A polished black finish runs across the entire front and continues through the temples. Light reflections reveal a smooth surface while the uninterrupted colour keeps the design visually cohesive.
Because there are no contrasting colours across the front, the black narrow rectangular optical frame places greater emphasis on its proportions. The dark finish also makes the crisp lens outline and defined bridge especially noticeable.
Clean full-rim construction
Noir Strata uses a full-rim front with an integrated bridge and moulded nose area. There are no separate nose pads visible, allowing the centre of the frame to remain clean and uncomplicated.
The bridge sits relatively high between the lenses and follows naturally into the upper rim. This construction helps preserve the low vertical profile of the lenses while maintaining a continuous front design.
The outer edges become slightly broader towards the hinges. This gives the frame a stronger visual finish at each side without making the front appear excessively heavy.
Broad-to-tapered temples
The temples begin with a relatively broad profile near the hinges. They remain substantial through the forward section before gradually narrowing and curving towards the ends.
From the side, this transition gives Noir Strata a smooth, continuous appearance. There are no prominent external ornaments or contrasting decorative elements competing with the frame shape.
Minimal design with stronger lines
The defining characteristic of Noir Strata is its proportion. Its narrow lenses, straight lower edge, broad temple connection and restrained black finish create a more linear appearance than many of the previously reviewed black frames.
The black narrow rectangular optical frame therefore stands apart through shape rather than decoration. Its combination of shallow lenses and clean full-rim construction gives the design a precise, streamlined character while keeping the overall styling simple.
