Soft Square Silhouette

Black square glasses take a clean and balanced form in Ardenne Noir. The frame uses generously proportioned square lenses with softly rounded corners. This combination gives the design structure without making the edges look severe.

The upper rim follows a gentle curve across each lens. It rises slightly toward the outer corners and dips subtly near the bridge. The lower rim stays rounded, creating a softer interpretation of the classic square shape.

Solid Black Finish

Ardenne Noir uses a consistent black colour across the front, bridge, end pieces, and temples. The photographs show no contrasting colour, pattern, or decorative coating.

A subtle surface sheen catches the light along the rims. However, the finish remains restrained rather than highly reflective. The uninterrupted black treatment keeps the silhouette crisp and gives the frame a polished appearance.

The rims remain relatively slim despite the generous lens depth. This prevents the front from looking overly heavy.

Smooth Integrated Bridge

The moulded bridge forms part of the main front structure. Its broad upper line flows naturally into both lens rims.

Ardenne Noir uses integrated nose support rather than separate adjustable pads. This keeps the centre simple and continuous. The bridge also has enough visual weight to balance the deeper square lenses.

The clean centre construction suits the frame’s minimalist character and avoids unnecessary detailing.

Streamlined Temple Design

Slim black temples extend from understated end pieces. They maintain a relatively straight profile before curving gently toward the tips.

The side view shows simple hinge construction with no prominent decorative inserts. This restrained approach gives the temples a lighter appearance compared with the larger lens front.

Because the temples remain narrow, the frame keeps most of its visual emphasis at the front.

Structured Without Excess

Ardenne Noir focuses on proportion, clean lines, and a monochrome finish. The deeper lens shape sets it apart from narrow rectangular frames, while the rounded corners prevent it from looking overly angular.

These black square glasses work particularly well as a straightforward optical design because the full rims clearly define the lenses. The frame can accommodate prescription or clear optical lenses while maintaining its distinctive square silhouette.
