30313 – Elowen

The tortoiseshell round eyeglasses of Elowen combine a generous rounded silhouette with a rich brown patterned finish. Dark brown and near-black markings move across a warmer amber-brown base, giving every section of the frame noticeable depth without making the design overly busy.

The lenses follow a broad panto-inspired shape. They are predominantly round, yet the upper edges have a slightly more controlled curve than a perfectly circular frame. This creates a balanced profile that feels softer than a rectangular design while still retaining clear structure.

Defined Bridge and Brow

A prominent bridge connects the two rounded lens sections. Its shape is slightly raised and more angular than the surrounding curves, creating an attractive contrast against the smooth lens rims.

The brow line moves gently upward from the bridge before flowing toward the outer corners. This continuous contour gives the tortoiseshell round eyeglasses a cohesive front rather than separating the lenses visually.

The frame maintains fairly consistent rim thickness around the lenses. This allows the tortoiseshell pattern to remain visible from every front-facing angle.

Double Rivet Detailing

One of Elowen’s most recognisable details is found at the outer corners. Two small circular metallic rivets sit beside each hinge area. Their simple placement introduces a subtle hardware accent against the patterned front.

The outer corners are slightly extended but remain rounded rather than sharply pointed. This keeps the overall shape harmonious with the curved lenses.

Patterned Temples

The tortoiseshell treatment continues from the front onto the temples. Amber, brown and dark markings run along their full visible length, creating a consistent appearance when the frame is viewed from the side.

The temples begin relatively straight and slim before gradually curving toward the ends. Their restrained profile prevents them from competing with the larger rounded front.

Because the pattern varies naturally across the surface, different sections shift between warmer brown areas and deeper dark accents. This gives Elowen more visual character than a flat single-colour frame.

A Cohesive Patterned Finish

The glossy surface enhances the contrast within the tortoiseshell pattern. Light catches the darker and warmer areas differently, making the colour variation more noticeable from changing angles.
