30301 – Sorell Noir

Black rectangular glasses take on a stronger architectural profile with Sorell Noir. The frame is defined by a thick full-rim front, broad horizontal lines and softly angled outer corners. Rather than following a perfectly box-shaped outline, the upper rim dips subtly toward the bridge and rises again toward the temples, giving the rectangular silhouette a more sculpted appearance.

The entire front is finished in solid black with a smooth satin-to-low-sheen surface. Its deeper rim profile creates noticeably more visual weight than Lensciaga’s finer metal styles, while the lower edges remain neatly contoured around the lenses. The outer corners extend slightly beyond the lens opening, producing a bold, structured edge without relying on added decorative colour.

At the centre, Sorell Noir uses an integrated saddle-style bridge formed as part of the front rather than separate adjustable nose pads. The bridge has a broad upper connection and a smooth internal curve, keeping the construction visually continuous from one lens to the other. This one-piece design reinforces the frame’s clean, solid character.

The side profile introduces another distinctive feature. Broad black temples continue the substantial proportions of the front and taper slightly as they travel rearward. Their smooth sides transition into curved ends without a separate contrasting temple tip. Small silver-tone metal hinge components are visible where the temples meet the frame, providing the only clear metallic contrast against the otherwise uniform black finish.

Viewed from an angle, the depth of the frame becomes more apparent. The brow line projects slightly forward, while the inner lens surrounds sit neatly within the thicker outer structure. These layered contours prevent the frame from appearing flat and give the black rectangular glasses a more dimensional appearance from both front and three-quarter views.

Sorell Noir is therefore less about fine detailing and more about proportion, shape and confident construction. Its thick rims, integrated bridge and broad temples give it an unmistakably different presence from the lightweight metal designs already listed. Prescription or clear optical lenses can be fitted within the full-rim structure while leaving the distinctive black silhouette fully intact.
