30106 – Virelle Noir

Black geometric metal glasses gain their character from carefully controlled angles in Virelle Noir. The frame avoids both a conventional rectangle and a fully rounded silhouette. Instead, the upper rim sweeps gently outward before meeting subtly angular corners, while the lower section softens into broader curves. This combination gives the front a distinctive geometric profile without making the design appear overly sharp.

The full-rim construction is finished in a uniform black tone. Fine metal rims trace the lenses closely and keep the front relatively slim despite the generous lens area. From the angled view, the outer corners show more definition than they do head-on, revealing the subtle changes in direction that give Virelle Noir its architectural appearance.

The bridge is particularly simple. A narrow, almost straight black metal section joins the two lenses without decorative shaping or additional surface detailing. Beneath it, clear adjustable nose pads sit on separate metal arms. Their transparent finish prevents the fitting components from visually interrupting the dark bridge and keeps the centre of the frame uncluttered.

Moving toward the sides, compact end pieces connect the lens rims to long, narrow temples. The arms stay slim and straight for much of their length before bending gradually downward toward the ears. Unlike some of the other metal frames in the collection, there is little contrast or ornamentation along the temples; the consistent black colouring allows the geometry of the front to do most of the visual work.

The proportions are another important part of this frame. The lenses are relatively broad while the bridge remains compact, producing a front that feels open and balanced. The softly angled lower corners stop the frame from reading as a standard rectangular style, while the restrained black finish keeps those shape changes subtle rather than exaggerated.

Virelle Noir is therefore defined less by decorative details and more by its silhouette. Its slim metal construction can accommodate prescription or clear optical lenses while preserving the angular outline around the lenses. Among Lensciaga’s darker metal designs, it stands apart through the combination of broad geometric lenses, a clean central bridge and almost uninterrupted black temples.
