Aervane combines oversized smoke-grey aviator lenses with a bold black shield-style structure. Vertical brow openings and curved perforated side panels give the frame its distinctive technical appearance, while slim temples keep the dramatic front visually balanced.

An Aviator Reworked with Architectural Detail

The black aviator shield sunglasses Aervane reinterpret the familiar aviator shape through a far more technical frame design. Large smoke lenses sit beneath a distinctive black brow structure, while perforated detailing gives the front an unmistakable appearance.

Rather than relying on a simple bridge and two individual rims, Aervane introduces a broad upper section that visually connects the lenses. Vertical openings run across the central brow area. They gradually shorten toward each side, creating a structured pattern that becomes part of the frame’s identity.

Oversized Aviator-Shield Shape

The lenses use a broad aviator-inspired profile with rounded lower edges and a generous horizontal span. Their shape remains softer than a geometric square frame, but the upper construction makes the overall design feel considerably more angular.

A thin dark rim traces each lens. The upper brow then extends above and between them, giving the black aviator shield sunglasses a layered front rather than a conventional single-frame outline.

The smoke-grey lenses maintain a consistent dark tint across their surface. This keeps the front monochromatic and allows the perforated frame detailing to stand out through texture rather than contrasting colour.

Perforated Brow Construction

The central brow is one of Aervane’s defining elements.

A series of narrow vertical openings runs above the bridge and inner lens sections. The pattern creates a ventilated, almost grille-like appearance while visually connecting both sides of the frame.

The openings become progressively smaller as they approach the outer sections. This creates a deliberate transition from the central brow to the rounded lenses below.

Sculpted Outer Side Guards

Perforated detailing also continues around the outer edges.

Curved mesh-like panels sit beside the lenses and sweep slightly backward toward the temples. These sections give the frame additional visual depth when viewed from an angle. They also prevent the design from appearing completely flat from the side.

The combination of the central slotted brow and perforated outer panels makes Aervane especially distinctive in three-quarter views.

Slim Temples and Minimal Finish

The temples are noticeably slimmer than the statement front. Their dark finish keeps the design coordinated without competing with the detailed brow.

Clear adjustable nose pads are visible behind the lenses, while small metallic accents appear at the ends of the temples. These restrained details allow the front construction to remain the dominant feature.

Aervane therefore combines a familiar aviator foundation with an unconventional shield-inspired structure. The result is a highly graphic frame that looks markedly different from a standard metal aviator.
